Tour of Kitchens Mobile App

The Junior League is a nationally recognized, women-led philanthropy network that spans the U.S. and the Junior League of Atlanta (JLA) is a keystone chapter operating in Atlanta, GA. After successfully building, managing, and delivering on the JLW Kitchen Tour app for the previous two years, GSS was approached to lead the digitization and mobile app development for the annual Tour of Kitchens (TOK), a 20+ year recurring signature event.

"The JLA Tour of Kitchens mobile app was a resounding success and working with your team was incredibly easy, as [you] were detail-oriented, responsive, and always willing to walk us through the process."

Cameron Ellis; Committee Chair, Tour Of Kitchens, JLA

Not only did I lead the project in every facet – engaging multiple client points of contact, project management, as well as design, development, and delivery of the mobile app – I researched and led our development team's integration of a silent auction mobile bidding system, a requisite for the project.

The mobile app achieved 93% engagement rate (auction day & event tour) with 505 total downloads across iOS and Android devices and 5904 total section (page) views. The app's mobile bidding integration was a "resounding success," helping the non-profit hit its silent auction goals and selling 95% of its auction item inventory.

Women's Leadership Forum Mobile App

While leading the Tour of Kitchens mobile app project, I was tasked with simultaneously managing the JLA Women's Leadership Forum (WLF) mobile application design and development for its March 2018 conference.

"The app worked beautifully and the fact that we get analysis as part of the entire package is amazing! Really enjoyed working with you ... you consistently met deadlines and were a delight to work with."

– Cara Turano Snow; Vice President, Training & Development, JLA

I was tasked with digitizing the conference information and making it easily accessible within the mobile app, as well as serving as a logistics reference for conference attendees (e.g., conference scheduling, room assignments, speaker schedules, etc.). We built the app as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for ease of use and its dynamic interplay with multiple mobile operating systems. The app achieved 373 total downloads and 307 total section views for the one-day event.
